About

Who we are

CourtEdge was born from a simple observation: while the top of the ATP and WTA has access to Hawk-Eye and a full analytics infrastructure, the rest of the circuit — Challenger, ITF, NCAA, academies — plays tactically blind.

We combine expertise in machine learning applied to sports video with a deep understanding of the competitive tennis landscape — players, coaches, tournament formats, the realities of match prep.

Our mission: democratize Grand Slam-level tactical analysis for the rest of professional tennis.

We started CourtEdge because we were tired of seeing coaches with enormous talent burn their evenings watching YouTube while their counterparts at bigger programs had dashboards, heatmaps and analysts on call. That asymmetry isn’t a skill gap — it’s a tooling gap. We’re closing it.

How we build

We’re an engineering-first team. Every CourtEdge report is generated by our own ML pipeline — no human taggers, no manual tagging sweatshops, no data entry operators in a back office. The pipeline does the work, we do the engineering and the tactical interpretation.

That means when you scale from one report to ten, to a hundred, the quality doesn’t drop and the turnaround stays the same. It also means we can invest in the product itself: better detection, richer features, faster delivery.
